The founders’ passing, Phyllis Saunders, on August 25, 1986, and C. A. Saunders on March 31, 1995, marks the end of an era for archery. For fifty years, Phylis and Chuck devoted their lives to archery. From the basement of a Chicago apartment to a small building in Manilla, Iowa, to the present plants in Columbus and Papillion, Nebraska, the company has been guided by their dedication to and love of archery.

Driven by a passion for archery, they relocated to Manilla, Iowa, where they established a small manufacturing facility. As the company expanded, it moved operations to Nebraska, setting up manufacturing plants in Columbus and Papillion. Today, Saunders Archery remains a family-run business, with their sons Chuck and Tom serving as CEO and president, respectively. The company continues to innovate in the archery industry, producing high-quality equipment and accessories for enthusiasts worldwide.
