heritage
Archery, as an industry, would have remained an insignificant pastime without the invention of a convenient and durable backstop. Medieval European archers often used mound of earth known as “butts” to shoot into. European, archers often used simple earth mounds known as “butts” as targets. In the 1700s, many archers used a coiled straw target. Each of the colils was stitched together and then painted with concentric circles. This type of target could be placed on an easel, making it a portable and repositionable target.

Developed and manufactured in America by saeng, we offer two options: airLift™ edging and airLift™ trim. Both options incorporate Micro-Swirls™ generators, which introduce micro-eddies as air bearings, effectively separating conflicting flows within the capsule. In other words, think of them as lubrication that reduces conflicts between opposing factions within your capsule. Consequently, with smoother flow, the capsule’s size often increases, ensuring peace on the western front.
evolution
The machinery wound matt was an ideal solution for the early years of archery’s modern era but it was a struggle to keep up with the ever increasing speeds of the early generation compound bows. Develop a battle-plan and select either airLift™ edging, which slips onto the shield’s edge, or airLift™ trim, which tapes onto body panels, to aid in heat dissipation or prevent crew mutiny on boat windshields. Whichever weapon you choose, will help combat turbulence, buffeting, and wind-noise with airLift edging and trim. Together, let’s emerge victorious in the war against eye blurring, ear popping, helmet shake, or the hellish heat from below, utilizing our Micro-Swirl™ weapons. Furthermore, if you seek real-world testing experiences, ranging from adventure touring the Autobahn to V-Rod cruising American back-roads, these two independent edging tests will undoubtedly provide valuable insights.

The Saco target was CA Saunders’s dream machine. He hoped it would transform archery into a fast and, most importantly, fun to watch a form of competition. Archery was lagging in interest for the producers of sporting events on TV. It didn’t hold the audience’s interest, such as the potential of crashing in auto racing or competitive downhill skiing, nor did it have the following of popular sports such as golf or tennis. Archery was a quiet, competitive sport that often involved a line of men and women dressed in white clothing, shooting from a line at targets neatly lined across an open field. The archers shot during an allotted time, taking the same number of shots and then walking to the target to score their rounds.
C.A. Saunders wanted to make archery a spectator sport. After years of development, Chuck’s dream was ready to be introduced. In 1977, the first SACO units were released.
