VUDU-X™
MORE INFO
vudu
dynamic dampening
The Vudu-X™ compound bowstring dampener replaces your carbon rod dampener with our patented, highly advanced compound bowstring silencer. Saunders invented the industry’s first string dampener in 1997…The Deadly-Quiet™. The design absorbed excess string energy and helped get the arrow off the string, improving speed and accuracy. All dampeners that followed suffered from one common ailment – repeated string slaps… You’ve probably seen slow-motion videos of these oscillations. Vudu-X™ compound bowstring dampener traps the string in a recoil chamber (see video tab below), eliminating resonant strikes and absorbing limb shock.
The result is the quietest bow you will have ever shot. “Both versions of the carbon rod allow for shortening to achieve a perfect fit. Tip: To determine if you need a 5/16″ or 3/8″ rod, take a 5/16″ open-end wrench and slip it over the stock rod. If it doesn’t fit, you have a 3/8” rod. Made in the USA.
Note: The slow-motion video of the Vudu™ features test parts before the mold surface was dulled.
piston
easy replacement
The Vudu™ recoil replacement pistons are identical for both Vudu-X & Vudu models. They snap in and out in a second and come in three or twelve piston sets. Extra silicone grease is included to extend the piston’s life and maintain its free operation in its receiver. The Incorporation of replaceable dampening pistons into the Vudu™ and Vudu-X™ systems exemplifies our commitment to innovation and user-centric design, providing archers with a reliable and maintainable solution for string vibration dampening.
independently
tested, outstanding results
Here are two independent test videos: the first is by Stephen Thatcher, and the second is by Northeast Outdoors—two things to remember. The first is that both models, Vudu-X and Vudu, use the same piston and piston receiver design, so both models test identically. The difference is only which design is easier for you to mount. Firstly, it is important to note that when measuring sound, a difference of 5 decibels corresponds to a significant reduction of 68% in the amount of sound energy being transmitted. Furthermore, when there is a difference of 6 decibels, this leads to an even greater decrease, specifically a reduction of 75% in the sound energy.
