Rear-Riser Rod
simple
rod solution
The rear riser rod may be a simple solution, but that doesn’t mean that this rod is low-tech. The rod is centerless ground to a 16-micro finish. You will notice it does not use a castle nut to secure the rod. Instead, we have machined an Allen key socket on the end of the rod. If you need a straight rod centerless ground to .373, with a 5/16-24 threaded end and a length of 4 inches, you have come to the right place. It also features an Allen key socket tip.
application
advantages of rod uses
The rear riser rod is used with the standard Vudu when the bow’s riser has a rear 5/16-24 port. This gives the archer the advantage of mounting the Vudu below the bow’s handle. This low mounting position offers several benefits, including better clearance from other bow components, such as sights and cable slides. Most importantly, the low mounting places the Vudu closer to the bow’s center of mass, which improves bow balance, making it easier to hold the bow steady at full draw.
This low mount also keeps the bow profile more compact—a real plus in tree stands or ground blinds. Finally, the low mount places the Vudu in an optimal path of energy transfer. This allows the Vudu to catch the string harmonics earlier, eliminating both the twang and hand shock.
