power band settings

Since clod-poppers are lighter than 44 cal steel, we recommend setting your bands to medium power. This will reduce the dry-fire effect, increase band longevity, and improve accuracy. Please view the video called ‘Adjusting Power‘ and adjust the power to about 60%. The idea is to set the power in direct relationship to the weight of the ammo. For example, 50 steel can be shot accurately at a higher power than the Clod Poppers. As you adjust, you will notice a drop-off in accuracy when a power setting is too high. Higher settings don’t allow the bands to clear the ammo’s path during the shot cycle.
